2023 End Of Year Review
We have has a magical year at the Little Beam Foundation and cannot thank you all enough for the support and love that you have given us.
From Lisa and Libby setting up the monthly Kirby Muxloe Indoor Market, to Jason and team doing the Tough Mudder, to the Firewalkers, to Nancy and the Open Mic Night, to Paddington Bear in Kirby Muxloe, to the Three Peak Challengers, to the Leicester 10k and 1/2 Marathon Runners, to Ella and Martha's Bike Ride, to Sophie with her school Sale and presentation, to the Cosby and Kirby Mallory Markets, to finishing strong at the Kirby Muxloe and Enderby Christmas Light Switch On, to winning the Tesco Community Tokens scheme, to numerous grants received including the National Lottery, and not forgetting - selling Project D Doughnuts many times over - it really has been an incredible year.
In 2023, we have raised an incredible £47k for the Foundation - all of which goes to support Children and Young Adults with their Mental Health and Wellbeing. Not bad considering we had set ourselves a respectable £3k target as our first full year of fundraising post-Covid!

What is amazing is that we already have so much on the horizon too - kick starting with the Mental Health and Wellbeing Awards in February 2024! We are super excited to celebrate those in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland making a difference too!

I think 2023 was summed up this year by one of our children who received a grant. His feedback to us was ‘Thank you for giving me a hope that life has got something nice in it’ - this is why we do what we do. We can all give hope people!
